Shetland is the coziest of the cottages yet still provides spacious accommodation and is ideal for that romantic time away.
The cottage is accessed through a traditional stable door, has lovely wooden floors, gabled ceilings and a wealth of original features.
During the winter months the underfloor heating keeps the cottage warm and cozy.
The modern kitchen features a traditional Belfast sink, electric oven and gas hob together with a good size refrigerator.
The tiled bathroom has a modern bath with shower over and an oversize washbasin.
The bedroom has large Oak double bed, ample wardrobe space as well as a modern TV.
The lounge diner also has a modern TV as well as a sofa that can be used as a second pull out bed if necessary as well as a small dining table.
Outside the south and west facing front courtyard is large and provides privacy for Al Fresco eating and has a modern gas fired BBQ for the lovely summer evenings.
A hot tub is situated to one side of the courtyard which has surrounding trellis and plants providing privacy.

We loved staying at the Shetland Cottage, it had everything we needed for a few nights away. Everything was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, the entire place has been furnished well and the kitchen is kitted out with enough tools and utensils to enable you to cook in if you prefer (during Covid this was ideal!). One thing to add would be a pair of oven gloves if possible, rather than just tea towels just for safety reasons. The hot tub and privacy trellis was such a great feature, and the waterfall shower also was great. We would love to come back again, we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

The large potholes in the gravel drive between the road and the entrance to the courtyard (full of rainwater during our visit) are very offputting for smaller cars.

This was our second time staying at Blashford Manor House and it really was as lovely as we remembered it. We will be back 100%! They provide everything you need and it’s so warm and cozy. Home away from home.
The only thing issue was the holes in the driveway really need some TLC. They were really rather deep but that’s a minor complaint. Apart from that we loved our stay!
